“For, of its very nature, the exercise of religion consists before all else in

those internal, voluntary, and free acts whereby man sets the course of life

Sr. Eugenia returned to Baton Rouge on April 25, 2010 to spread her message throughout the community.

Sister Eugenia, our "Angel of the Streets" spends countless hours each week rescuing women and children from kidnappers who exploit their victims through unspeakable acts of human trafficking. Local efforts last year raised more than $80,000 to help women and children imprisoned as sex slaves. Help us help Sister Eugenia to continue her mission to end the horrors of human trafficking. Make a secure online contribution using the PayPal link to your right»»»»»

Sister Eugenia Bonetti is on the streets nightly, rescuing women and children who have been imprisoned for human trafficking through organized crime.  As Sister so succinctly puts it,

"No one was born to be a prostitute."

Your contribution saves and rebuilds the lives of so many nameless, faceless women and children considered, in many cases, unwanted by society. Thank you!

Many thanks to all who helped with the events scheduled in Hammond and Baton Rouge, LA in 2010.  Your support thus far, and your continued prayers will hopefully get us closer to the day when we can all rest, knowing that the horrors of human trafficking are a thing of the past.

God Bless You!

LAST RITES-ANOINTING OF THE SICK-Have a family member or health care professional call the office at

654-5778.  If anointing is needed after hours (state of emergency where it appears that death is imminent),

the voice mail system at the office will give instructions on how to leave a call for after-hours assistance.

Note:  This is a sacrament; once you receive last rites, there is no need to be anointed again, however, to

bring comfort to your loved one, our priests will certainly make repeat visits to hear confessions, offer Holy

Communion, and bring comfort to those in need.  We encourage you to be anointed, whenever possible,

before you reach a state of emergency, especially before major surgery or when the sacrament is offered

to parishioners at various times throughout the year.

CARE OF THE SICK-Emergency calls are answered immediately, when possible.  Visits to homebound

parishioners will be conducted on a regular basis.  Please notify the parish office when you or a family
